Important match for Barcelona and a perfect chance to achieve the three points.

Osasuna has had a very difficult week. They played Conference League qualifiers against Brugge, playing away in Belgium on Thursday. This means, firstly, fatigue and very little time to prepare for this game.

Secondly, they drew 2:2 after leading 0:2. The first leg at home finished 1:2 so they have been eliminated, which is a big shock for them. So the motivation will be pretty low for this fixture.

Obvbviusoly Conference League was their main target and they played with best lineup in both fixtures. In the weekend game last round against Valencia played with reserves and for this clash against Barcelona some changes/rotations are expected too. Players like Ruben Peña (LB), Budimir (main striker), or midfielders Moncayola and Torro are expected to start the game on the bench.

The other starters will have fatigue from Thursday's game.

Osasuna started the season with two victories (Valencia and Celta) and one solid defeat against Athletic Bilbao (0:2). But the game against Valencia (1:2) was very lucky, as they deserved to lose there. They were outplayed and Valencia had more chances, but Osasuna found a lucky goal at 95’ to get the victory.

So, the conditions for Osasuna to play against Barcelona will be far from the best ones. Mentally, and also physically.

On the other hand, Barcelona is getting better results than performances. But I’m sure they’ll try to improve that. This week they confirmed two very interesting transfers: Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix. Cancelo was much needed because Sergi Roberto was in terrible form.

They have some missing players such as Pedri, but he has a replacement this year in Gundogan. An important player - Rapinha , is back, and let’s see if Xavi decides to continue with the young star Yamal (who has been one of the best players in the team in the first rounds) or is Rapinha who plays there.

Araujo is also missing but Christensen is back from injury and available to replace him in the defense. Others like Lewandowski (last season’s topscorer in La Liga) are also in terrible form but with a lot of potential to improve. He scored a goal in the last game which for sure gave him confidence. Also players like Ferran Torres are in great form.

Quality difference is huge. Osasuna is a competitive team but they’ll be lacking pace and motivation for this match after the shocking game on Thursday’s game. They have been overperforming a bit also, whilst Barcelona is the opposite: they can’t make things much better as they have shown before.
