Despite scoring only one point in the first two games of the new season, for me personally Chelsea's rejuvenated team left quite a good impression. A lot of new players have arrived in the team, as well as the well-known coach Pochettino, and they have a long way to go before everything falls into place. But what they showed in the first two matches can give Chelsea fans a certain amount of optimism. In the match against Liverpool, they were a much better rival, more specific in front of the opponent's goal, they also had more possession of the ball, and they also had one goal disallowed due to offside. In the end, they won only one point after Liverpool scored from the only shot on goal they had in the match. In the London derby against West Ham, they lost 3-1, and I think that the result is not at all realistic and does not show Chelsea's performance in that match. It's really early to draw conclusions after only one game played this season, but I honestly don't think Luton really made a good impression in the first leg. On the road to Brighton, they were defeated 4-1, and it could easily have been more convincing. The goal they scored was from the penalty spot and they showed very little in front of the opponent's goal. In that match, the defense showed a huge amount of insecurity, both in defending their goal, and in starting actions through passing play from their own half. Against a team that plays fast football, with a lot of pressing when they don't have the ball, such as Chelsea, the inexperienced Luton team will have a lot of problems. Although Chelsea have a lot of injured players at the moment, I think they are a much more experienced and better team even with the players they have at their disposal.
