Yes, Osasuna will be very motivated and with strong support to qualify, but I have seen some worrying things during this summer + two rounds so far.

First, the team is still far from their best level in defense. Some key defenders who made a great campaign last season (such as David Garcia) aren’t still at 100% and are making some mistakes in defense. Their wingers are terrible, Mojica is very offensive and leaves a lot of space in defense, and Osasuna is receiving many chances from the wings. The best example was against Athletic this weekend, where they lost 0:2 with both goals coming from the wings.

Secondly, they have not made any good transfers. Only CB Catena from Rayo Vallecano. So the level of the team is almost the same as last season. Yes, they know each other well, but they don't have more quality. And to compete in Europe they need a bit more. They have very few players with experience at international level.

On the other hand Brugge has a very interesting team. A good combo of young talents (Spillers, Nusa) and top international players such as Mignolet, Skov Olsen or Vanaken.

They have a lot of European pedigree. Last season they played in the Champions League and reached the 1 ⁄ 8 finals, after a group stage where they finished above Atletico de Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen.

Brugge is a very dangerous team at counters and playing with spaces. And this is the kind of match I’m expecting: Osasuna motivated, trying to attack and dominate the game, and struggling in defense leaving spaces at the back. Brugge will be able to create counters and run with spaces, their strong point and where they are more dangerous. Osasuna is a team that at home never plays defensively.

Furthermore, Brugge will have much better fit. They have already played 8 official games: 4 rounds in the league and 4 games of Conference League qualifiers. Osasuna has played only two official games so far.

Seeing the kind of game I’m expecting, with Osasuna attacking and leaving spaces in defense for Brugge, I can't see them favorites. Guests have the same quality, but more experience and better pace. So this game is at least 50-50.
