Jaro have been a clear disappointment this season – there is no denying that. However, they do have a lot of potential to improve in all areas of the game. I also do trust their coach here. At home they have lost just once in Ykkönen this season. The trip from Ekenäs to Jakobstad by bus is pretty long and tiring and Jaro do have good home fans by Ykkönen standards. The home advantage in Ykkönen is smaller than in most European leagues but here it is a big factor. Ekenäs have won two of their away games in Ykkönen this season and have a negative score difference of 6:7 on the road.

Their defense has been okay, especially at home, but offensively they have lacked creativity and speed in many games but have slowly improved in this area of the game.. They have netted the ball just eight times but their number of expected goals (xG) is 12.09. They would have deserved 13.23 points in terms of xPTS. Taking their potential into account I see this match as a coin toss without a favorite. The bookies overvalue the visitors and offer Ekenäs odds of only around 2.30 to win so Jaro +0.5 is the obvious smart bet here! Jaro were okay in their latest game despite losing to SJK Akatemia 0-1 at home. They recorded more goal attempts - 8-6 and also had more dangerous attacks. A draw would have been a justified result. Before this they faced JJK away from home losing 1-3 but the game was pretty balanced. Jaro had bad luck - for example an own goal in the 29th minute. After the 2-0 goal it became difficult for Jaro but they did not give up.. Before this they were pretty good at home beating SalPa 1-0. The bookies do not seem to realize that Ekenäs IF are far from their great form in the early season and also fail to give Jaro's potential enough emphasis!
