A win over Sweden will keep them seven points clear of Sweden, and will improve their chances of qualifying to the Euro competition, as they are set to battle for the second qualification spot with Sweden, with Belgium one of the favorites to qualify from their group. A win tonight is of utmost importance.

Secondly. Sweden suffered a 3-0 defeat against Belgium in their campaign opener, and then recorded a 5-0 win against Azerbaijan in March in their second group game. They could be in real danger of missing out on qualifying for Europe's premier international tournament for the first time since Euro 1996 should they fall to a second defeat against Austria, in three matches. But, that seems very likely now as Austria have a very strong team, and are formidable at home.

Sweden will know that a defeat could potentially be fatal in terms of their hopes of qualifying for next summer's European Championship. But that result seems almost inevitable, as Austria are quite very good at the moment and have almost zero chance of losing at Vienna. A victory for Austria is most likely, and that is what my money will be on from this encounter.
