No way Spain can be favorite here.

Spain has one of the worst squads in years. Any player is a TOP10 in their position, either the coach who is new and has zero experience (only with Spain U19 and U21). Maybe only Manchester City midfielder Rodri is a TOP player, but that’s all.

The team had a very poor performance against Scotland (lost 2:0). Coach called some veterans like Jordi Alba or Jesus Navas, which is a signal of the weakness of the team who couldn’t find any strong alternatives and had to call players who should have already retired from the National Team. Even Jordi Alba has no team right now, because his contract with Barcelona has finished and most probably will play in a B or C league such as the USA or UAE.

Furthermore, best midfielder Pedri is injured and is a very important absence for the team, a team whose style isn’t defined yet by this new coach. They played one thing against Norway and another different against Scotland, trying to make changes and showing zero abilities to dominate the rivals or control the game.

They don't have either any leader, as used to have in the previous years/generations.

Although the World Cup was poor, winning only against Costa Rica in the opening game, at least the team were competitive, with good tactics thanks to the coach Luis Enrique, and had a style defined. But with new coach Luis de la Fuente everything has changed and the level has decreased a lot.

On the other hand, Italy is hungry for titles/good performances. After another failure to qualify for a World Cup, it’s clear that Italy has a problem making competitive teams. They don't have any top striker, and had to call former argentinian striker Mateo Retegui from Tigres. But he is doing well - two goals in two games so far.

Mancini is doing a revolution but with the same style/system, with three strikers and two wingers (Chiesa and Gnoto). The midfield has a lot of quality with Barella, Jorginho and Verratti, who is able to dominate almost any team if they are at 100%. In defense they will use the CB starters for Inter who were almost winners of the Champions League: Acerbi and Bastoni.

Italy has more motivation here and at least a plan. Spain has no plan, looks unmotivated and their squad has very few quality. Italy has a much better midfield and I see them favorites to win here.

另一方面，意大利队渴望冠军/出色的表现。在又一次无缘世界杯之后，意大利显然在组建一支有竞争力的球队方面存在问题。他们没有顶级前锋，不得不从老虎队请来了前阿根廷前锋雷特吉。但是他做得很好，目前两场比赛进了两个球。

曼奇尼正在进行一场革命，但使用的是同样的风格/体系，三前锋和两边锋(基耶萨和诺托)。巴雷拉、若日尼奥和维拉蒂的中场实力很强，如果他们100%发挥，他们几乎可以统治任何一支球队。在防守方面，他们将使用国米的后场首发，他们几乎是欧冠冠军:阿克尔比和巴斯托尼。

意大利在这里有更多的动力，至少有一个计划。西班牙队没有计划，看起来缺乏动力，他们的阵容缺乏实力。意大利的中场要好得多，我认为他们最有可能在这里获胜。
