As I said before, they crushed New Zealand, meaning that they have a total of 10 goals scored and zero conceded!

During the group stage, Uruguay won 2 games and lost 1. Overall this tournament, Uruguay has scored a total of 8 goals and conceded 4. The win over Tunisia was somehow lucky because Uruguay scored the winning goal just in the added time. In the 1st round game, Luciano Rodriguez received a red card. While he hasn't scored a single goal, he has been a very important player for the Uruguay team but he won't be available tonight.

If we look at the xG, the USA has been a better team. In this tournament, the Americans are expected to score 2.83 goals (2nd best) and concede 1.12 (the best) while Uruguay is expected to score 2.47 goals (3rd best) and concede 1.39 (5th best). While the offense could be described as similar, defense is where the USA gains a huge boost. The Americans are favorites in this game and they should at least not lose in the regular time. This could be a close game and go into overtime.
