They have conceded three goals against Raufoss and Sandnes Ulf, two goals against Bryne, KFUM, Hødd, and Åsane. The only team they managed to limit to just one goal is Skeid. Not an impressive defensive record.

With these numbers, it’s very difficult to achieve positive results, and that’s why they have won just 3 games out of 9 played so far, with 5 draws. They have impressive numbers upfront with 22 goals scored in 9 games too.

In addition, they are struggling with several injuries. Captain and defensive stalwart Vito Wormgard got injured over the weekend, and left-back Næss had to move to the center back position, while young and inexperienced Dashaev, who actually signed his first professional contract with the club earlier in the week, came on as a full-back.

Start's midfield seems to have significant defensive weaknesses, and the addition of experienced Vajebah Sakor to help balance the midfield was likely not a coincidence. Now he also got injured against Åsane, so with him out, their defensive capabilities are weakened again.

Ranheim has varied in their performances this season, but when things click for them, they are a good football team that most teams in the OBOS League struggle to cope with. Ranheim scored two goals against Sogndal last time, and two against Kristiansund, which shows that they can score against the supposedly stronger teams in the league. There are also several potential goal scorers in this Ranheim team. Arne Gunnes has scored a few, as have Sivert Solli and Bendik Bye, and we are also waiting for offensive contributions from players like Alte and Gamst Pedersen.

Surely this will be a game with a lot of goals. Ranheim has quality and is totally able to avoid the defeat here, scoring at least 1 or two goals.
