Jonkoping VS Brage

Jonkoping host Brage for this Swedish Superettan round 9 clash at Stadsparksvallen Saturday evening Beijing time. This  league is of relatively low level by European standards. Indeed, the difference compared to the first tier, Allsvenskan, is substantial. However, my fans and my main goal is to make a long-term profit and I am convinced that we have yet another very lucrative betting opportunity here! The bookies pretty often seem to make surprisingly many mistakes with their odds in this league. The bookmakers put much more time and effort on the big European leagues that attactact more attention and turnover from bettors.. Jonkoping currently occupy the 7th place in the standings in this league with a total of 16 clubs.. They are, however, in 10th place in my power rating that reflects the teams' pure class. Indeed, most of my fans probably know by now that I never let the standings feel me! The hosts have been lucky in terms of expected points (xPTS) this season. They have 13 points to their account but their number of xPTS is just 9.13. Furthermore, they have scored 15 goals in Superettan so far – this is the second-biggest number in this league. Only Oster, currently in 3rd place, have netted the ball more often. Yes, they have been better offensively than I estimated in my in-depth preseason analysis. Even so, I am convinced that they will not score the same number of goals per game as the season progresses! Their offense still does have some weaknesses – for example lack of creativity. Their number of expected goals (xG) is significantly smaller! 

A very good example of Jonkoping taking undeserved points is their most recent game against GAIS away from home as big underdogs. This win probably affects today's odds too much.. Jonkoping escaped with a 1-0 win despite GAIS being the much better team on the pitch for most of the 90 minutes. They had 57% ball possession and recorded significantly more goal attempts (16-3), shots on and off goal, corner kicks (13-1), attacks and especially dangerous attacks! Before this they lost to Eskilstuna 2-3 at home as solid favorites according to the bookies and looked vulnerable in defense. Brage have had a somewhat disappointing start to the season and are in the 9th place in the league table. They would have deserved much more in xPTS than the actual 11 points. They can improve in all areas of the game and I do trust their coach. They should attack faster and the strikers would need to be a bit more creative. They have scored just eight goals in this league so far. However, their defense has been pretty okay – much better than that of Jonkoping.. Let's not forget that last season Brage – finished in 7th place were much better than Jonkoping who finished in 12th place. Not that much has changed for this season.. Brage are the favorites here but a draw would be enough for my fans and me to win with the recommended +0.5 goals handicap.
