Teams had very different quarterfinals. Barcelona was playing against Zalgiris and they won 3 games in a row, so they needed just 3 games to qualify for the Final 4. Real Madrid, on the other hand, had a much harder series. The team lost both 1st two home games and was down 0-2 but they managed to win both games on the road. In the deciding Game 5, Real was down by 18 points to Partizan but they came back and won.

One of the reasons why I'm going with Barcelona in this game is health. Barca has a fully healthy roster and they won't miss any important players but we can't say that about Real. In the quarterfinal, the team got involved in a big fight with Partizan players and Guerschon Yabusele got a 5-game disqualification and he won't play tonight. Gabriel Deck is also an important player for Madrid but he got an MLC injury and also won't be available tonight. Deck has been 2nd best scorer in Euroleague while Yabusele is 5th and also Vincent Poirier won't play, and he has been a very important backup player.

This season already teams have met 5 times, and Barcelona has won 3 matches. At the same time, Barcelona lost the 1st meeting which was at the start of the season and now the teams are completely different. One more win Madrid had at home although they were down for 37 minutes but forced overtime in the last minute and won in the extra time. In other games, Barcelona has won by 2, 9 and 15 points.

Kaunas fans are going to cheer for Barcelona because the head coach is from their country so this could feel like Barcelona's home game. This Spanish team has been better this season and their head-to-head results show why they should advance to the final game of the tournament.
