Tonight is going to be the last game in the Euroleague quarterfinal matchup between Olympiacos and Fenerbahce. It has been a wonderful series and today we are going to know the 2nd team of Euroleague's Final 4. Almost every game has been very tight and I'm predicting that Fenerbahce tonight is going to cover the handicap.

If we need to make a little series recap: in the 1st game, Olympiacos took down the opponents in the 2nd half and won by 11 points. A similar scene was going on in the 2nd game but Fenerbahce came back in the last quarter, outscored the opponents, and got the 1st win. The third game was very wild because there was one clutch shot after another and it ended with Kostas Sloukas's game-winner. In the 4th game, Fenerbahce was better in the last minutes and tied up the series.

Why I'm confident that Fenerbahce is going to cover the handicap? First of all, only the 1st match ended with more than 6 points, while all other games ended with 4 or 1 point. Secondly, Fenerbahce's head coach Dimitris Itoudis has made important adjustments to the defense. For example, Olympiacos' best scorer Sasha Vezenkov scored points decreased in every game. In Game 4, he had only 2 points! Vezenkov needs to touch the ball only for a few seconds to score but that is the problem. During the playoffs, more 1-on-1 basketball decides the outcome of the game but Vezenkov won't create shots for himself. Thomas Walkup also struggles a lot, and Fenerbahce allows him to shoot 3-pointers which he can't make (only 21.4%).

The weirdest part of all that is Olympiacos' head coach Giorgos Bartzokas hasn't made any adjustments and he plays like it was a regular season. For example, Sloukas finds himself guarding Dyshawn Pierre, while Shaquielle McKissic is next to Marko Guduric.

Let's compare team stats. Olympiacos has an advantage in field goal percentage (53.4 to 46.8) and free throws (80 to 77.6). Fenerbahce has more rebounds, more assists, fewer turnovers, fewer fouls, and the Turkey team is more effective!

Olympiacos was the best team in the regular season for a reason. At the same time, Fenerbahce isn't the typical 8th seed. This has been a very interesting matchup and I'm confident that Game 5 won't let us down. I'm not saying that Fenerbahce is going to win but the game should be very tight and we should know the winner just in the final minutes.
