Uruguay and South Korea meet in what is a rematch just a few months after they faced each other in the group stage of the Qatar World Cup 2022. The South Americans would be seeking revenge, because they missed out on the second spot to the Koreans in the last group stage game. I think we should expect another tense and closely contested affair like we did few months ago but Uruguay has the edge, hence you should bet on an away win or draw for the following reasons;

[1] The clash in November last year was the first official meeting between South Korea and Uruguay. The other two games were friendlies and Uruguay won the first ever meeting against South Korea by a goal margin through a Jose Gimenez strike. Both teams are one of the best in their continent but football is much tougher in South America unlike in the Asian world. Uruguay and South Korean played out a goalless draw last time but the South Americans held possession for most parts of the game and South Korean didn't have many chances against Uruguay, I expect a similar gameplay today when both teams meet and Uruguay should be able to claim a win or draw against the Asians.

[2] When it boils down to individual quality, Uruguay clearly beats the South Korean national team by a great distance and I think they can edge out the Asians here. Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani, and Federico Valverde are all top key players for the Uruguayan national team and all of them can make a difference in this game unlike South Korea who has a few stars like Son Heung-Min. The Uruguayan defense is also stacked with quality players like Jose Gimenez and Ronald Araujo who are top players at Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona respectively. There is no position in the field where South Korea is better than Uruguay and I think if the game gets very tough, Uruguay has enough stars to bail them out. They are also well rested unlike South Korea who played a few days ago and might rotate players, I think Uruguay should be winning this or settle for a draw.
