Romania welcome Belarus at the Arena Nationala for the Euro 2024 qualifiers on Tuesday night. Romania will be seeking to continue their winning start to the qualifying campaign. They defeated Andorra by two goals to nil. Romania currently sit second in their group, only behind Switzerland by goal difference. Recording a win over Belarus on Tuesday will greatly boost their chances of qualifying from their group, and make a return to the European Championship for the first time since 2016. So, I am putting my money on Romania to beat Belarus for the following reasons:

Firstly. Romania have seen a turn up in form since they were relegated from the League B of the Nations League last year. Even though they got relegated, their Footbal federation maintained faith with their coach, Edward Iordanescu. This faith is paying off. There is a belief within the camp that they can make it through the qualifiers to the next year's Euro Championship, after having failed to qualify for the competition since their involvement in the Euro competition in 2016. The improvement in their form is largely due to the new crop of talented young players found and drafted into their national team squad. The team seem reinvigorated and ready to make a statement by getting the country to Euro 2024.

Secondly. Belarus are not in a good form, and they have a penchant for conceding a lot of goals. They were thoroughly beaten 5-0 by Switzerland in their opening group match. This corresponds in line with their horrible record of having lost four, drawn one, and won one of their previous six matches. It is noteworthy to mention that Belarus have never qualified for the European competition since they became independent in 1991. Belarus have a very porous defence, and Romania will be looking to exploit that.

Keeping in mind the state of the Belarusian team in both offence and defence and how the team lack any individual talent, I expect Romania to beat them by at least two goals margin.
