Serie A leaders Napoli will aim to secure a spot in the Champions League quarterfinals when they host Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday night. Following their 2-0 win against the visitors in the first leg reverse fixture in Germany, Napoli are the favorites to advance. Napoli bounced back to winning ways last weekend with 2-0 victory against Atalanta, after suffering only their 2nd defeat of the campaign a match before. I am giving Napoli a straight win against Eintracht Frankfurt for the following reasons:

Firstly. Napoli have an impeccable home form in the Champions league. They have not lost at home in the Champions league in their last 3 home matches. They have beaten all their opponents at home resoundingly with ease. This is because of the intimidating nature of their home fans. Stadio Maradona is not a nice place to play as a visiting team.

Secondly. Deteriorating form of Eintracht Frankfurt. Frankfurt have won only one of their last 6 matches. Their last outing was a drab draw against VfB Stuttgart, a team in the relegation zone, in the German Bundesliga. To compound their woes, Frankfurt will be without their suspended talented forward Kolo Muani. Their current poor form is in contrast to Napoli's form; and Napoli are sure to capitalise on that to secure their place in the Quarterfinals.

Thirdly. Napoli are almost wrapping up the Scudetto trophy with an 18 point lead in Serie A. With the domestic glory apparently in hand, Napoli's focus will now be fully on the European trophy. Napoli will most likely throw all their arsenal against Frankfurt, leaving no stones unturned. Champions league is not a competition to feel relaxed in with a first leg win. Napoli know this. They will be coming at Eintracht Frankfurt with everything they have got to ensure they make it to the Quaterfinals.

Considering how Napoli have been playing this season and with the 2 goal cushion from the first leg, Napoli are the favorites to win this second leg fixture. So, I am giving Napoli a straight win over Eintracht Frankfurt.
