Southampton is on last position in league table, but only two points behind safe place so I'm sure they will give absolutely everything to make some points in this game. They have new coach Ruben Selles and improvement is really visible. With him on the bench Southampton made 7 points in 4 league matches - they made same number of points in previous 12 league matches before his arrival. Saints kept clean sheet in 3 of last 4 league matches. Team coming for this game full of confidence as they went unbeaten in last two rounds and for sure wants to go with momentum front of home crowd.

In previous round Brentford lost 0:1 on away against Everton. I'm not really surprised. They are outstanding team at home, but if You look on the bigger picture Brentford is not top team on the road, no doubt about that. In previous season they failed to win in 13 of 19 away matches in Premier League. In current season they failed in 10 of 12 away matches. In addition to that, Brentford have horrible record in matches played during the midweek. They failed to win in last 7 matches in a row played Tuesday/Wednesday or Thursday (5 losses in the process).

I don't see Brentford as favorite of this game. Southampton have all required tools to avoid loss here.
