The UEFA Europa League 2022/23 is filled with many big teams from the Champions League and it is one of the most exciting editions in the last decade. Juventus is another top team in the UEFA Europa League and they knocked out mantis to reach the round of 16 where they will be facing German side Freiburg. Juventus are favourites to go through and I expect them to get a very healthy advantage before the trip to Germany next week. You should bet on Juventus for the following reasons;

FIRST REASON

Juventus has a team that is stronger than Freiburg and on a normal day, they should be playing in the UEFA Champions League. Juventus is privileged to have the likes of Angel Di Maria, Dusan Vlahovic, and Federico Chiesa. They are all world class attackers and can decide this game in split seconds. Freiburg do not have the luxury and they are inferior to Juventus. Paul Pogba is also available for the Turin outfit which makes them a completely different team. Freiburg would sit back and hope to not lose heavily here but Juventus have a great team to get the job done. I'm tipping the Italians to outclass Freiburg and get the win on Thursday.

SECOND REASON

Home advantage has always been key in European knockouts and Juventus cannot afford to give Freiburg a fighting chance. Massimilliano Allegri's team won the Derby against Torino last week at home and they are well motivated to beat this Freiburg side. Freiburg hasn't had it easy away from home recently, and they were on the wrong end of a 5-1 thrashing at the signal iduna Park against Dortmund. Freiburg failed to break down Borussia Monchengladbach in their last game away from home, playing out a goalless draw. Juventus have been at their best at home and I'm predicting this game to finish in a home win for the Italians.

Juventus might have suffered elimination in the UEFA Champions League but this competition is a great opportunity for them to add titles after a tough season. Freiburg isn't a big challenge for Juventus and the Old Ladies should be winners at full time.
