I was watching the first game between German and Dutch team. It was a quiet match because Union Berlin wanted a positive result, and they made it with 0-0. Later after the match against Ajax, Union played against Schalke and had a chance to jump at the first position, in front of Bayern in Bundesliga but they failed to score against one of the worst teams in league at the moment, and that game ended without goals to. On the other side, Ajax won 4-0 in league after the match vs Union and with that, they returned confidence at least in attacking phase. It was really hard for Ajax to create anything big in Amsterdam, as Union were positioned well and concentrated for 90 minutes. Hardworking team, totaly contrary of Ajax where creation and posession are the main characteristics. However, now Union will be more open at home field, at least for a nuance I suppose, as they need a victory to progress further, otherwise they would wait for penalites. We know that Union is German version of Atletico Madrid (in their prime defensive years) and as such, they will be patient here but they have no such experience in 2leg games as Ajax does. Ajax travels as the larger of two teams however, and they will definitely change the way they played in first match so that should benefit the team in my opinion. Tadic should be moved in central or right and this will be a huge thing if happens. In one thing I'm sure, there will be more acton in this match, and goal from each team comes to my mind as the most logical outcome. Therefore, 1-1 blinks as the possible correct score and I think we will see extra time today in Berlin. Handicap on Ajax have a VALUE.
