The best thing that happen to Benfica was the arrival of Coach Roger Schmidt. With him Benfica has been an amazing team to watch but most important they have been playing some really high level football and winning a lot so far. In the Portuguese League they are in 1st place with a 2 point lead over Porto but today with a win they can make it a 5 point lead again and in the Champions League is safe to say they already in the quarter-finals after beating Club Brugge by 2:0 in the 1st leg on the road. One thing that hurt Benfica was the World Cup break, they were playing amazing football and when the break ended their players came a bit out of shape and the first bad results showed up but they recovered quickly and are right now playing once again on that level early in the season, of course the loss of Enzo Fernandez to Chelsea was a big blow but overall Benfica still looks amazing, creating a lot of chances and scoring a lot goals. At home their record is 9 wins and 1 draw in 10 games with an impressive 32 goals scored and only 8 suffered, overall, Benfica has the best attack and the best defense in the league and since they are healthy again the team had no issues to win their games against the weaker competition.

Boavista is a young team and has been well Coached and because of that they are sitting in 8th place but mostly because of their amazing start because lately Boavista has been struggling what is normal in this young teams and it also doesn't help that they are getting many red cards lately but overall Boavista at home is a strong unit with great results but on the road they struggle big time, only 2 wins in 9 games and 6 losses with a 8-16 in goals and now they will face the hottest team in Portugal on the road and missing some key players for this game. Another thing is that their road record against Benfica in the League has been awful too. Their last 5 trips to Benfica ended in losses and all of those games they lost by 2 or more goals so they know how hard it will be today since this is pratically the best Benfica team in the last decade.

I expect Benfica to control the game and create a lot of scoring chances against this Boavista team, it will be just a matter to take care of their chances where sometimes Ramos and Rafa have some issues but overall I think Benfica will get the 3 points and win this game by 2 or more goals.
