Sporting CP are doing a weird season so far, they are doing a great and normal job at games played at home, but as away they already lost many points by losing against weak teams like Boavista, Arouca and Maritimo. At home they are one of the best teams of the league only behind Benfica who is leading the league on general. The must win for Sporting is really big if they want to keep dreaming with the title and to keep pressing Braga in the race for atleast the 3rd position that gives access to UEFA Champions League Play-Offs, but they are still 5 points behind them. Sporting had a really great news for this game, their main striker Paulinho who received red card against Porto for the League Cup Final was banned for 3 games - he already missed the last 2, but this game against Porto was forbidden and so he is able to start the game and it will motivate a lot the whole team. I had the info that the coach Ruben Amorim will do a surprise for this game, the player from Ghana Fatawu that usually plays for Sporting B but who has a lot of quality will be a starter for this game as Ruben wants to cause a lot of problems to the right-back of Porto and the centre-back on the right side (the experienced and old Pepe). Fatawu is really fast and very strong in 1v1 situations and so I expect him to create many problems to Porto players. I am very confident that Sporting will make a very good game today with the full stadium.

FC Porto are a very tough team, especially since the coach Sergio Conceiçao arrived to the city of invicta. But their last games were really poor, atleast the last 4 - against Sporting where they did not deserve to win that game, then for the league against Maritimo where they did a terrible 2nd half and could have been losing at half time, then at home against Vizela where they created few chances to score and in the last game for the Portuguese Cup against a team from the 2nd division but that created a lot of problems to Porto's defense. They have many important absences as Sergio Conceiçao revealed in the press conference - the best player and the player with the highest salary from the whole league - Otavio, the centre-back Fabio Cardoso, the left-back Wendell, the strikers Gabriel Veron and Evanilson and Eustaquio is still in doubt, but for sure won't be a starter even if he recovers in time. Both teams will play for the 3 points as Porto is still chasing Benfica and are 5 points behind and Sporting CP want to keep dreaming with that chance, so I only expect a team being conservative and defending the draw in case of being at a numerical disadvantage. I cannot see them beating Sporting with so many absences and in the stadium of Sporting that they will full with an amazing atmosphere.
