Eindhoven VS Den Bosch

Eindhoven host Den Bosch for this Dutch Eerste Divisie round 20 battle at Jan Louwers Stadion  early Tuesday morning Beijing time. There is no doubt about the fact that the hosts are massively better than the visitors by pure class. I do not often recommend a pick on a heavy favorite at pretty low odds. However, I will make an exception here as I see Eindhoven FC being even bigger favorites than the odds on the betting market would suggest. Even a clear win would not surprise me here at all. To the fans who would like bigger odds I would like to say that the chance of the hosts winning by more than one goal's margin is 52% and the odds available are around 2.20. The visitors' defense is very shaky indeed - they have allowed the biggest number of goals in this league with a total of 20 teams – 37 to be precise. Their defense lacks everything – structure, individual skill and willingness to fight for every ball. They are currently in the 17th place with just 19 points to their account. They do have some offensive power though and have netted the ball 27 times so far in this league. However, recently their offense has been bad – they have scored just once in their most recent five games. Their number of expected goals (xG) per game had also dropped from early season. Away from home they have lost 6/9 games in Eerste Divisie this season. Eindhoven FC, on the other hand, have been strong at Jan Louwers Stadion once again this season. I

Things look grim for Den Bosch at the moment and expect them to drop down in the standings before the end of the season.. They have now lost five matches in a row and seem to be low in confidence. In their most recent game they lost to Ajax 0-2 at home in a KNVB Beker (cup) 1/16-final match and did not have a true chance. Ajax had 72% ball possession and recorded many more goal attempts – 16-3. Moreover, Den Bosch also recorded just one shot on goal. Ajax, of course, are a very strong team so the loss was not a surprise at all. Before this they were, however, even much worse than I would have expected, losing 1-4 at home against Jong Utrecht, the rock-bottom team, as favorites on the betting market! The ball possession was almost 50-50% but the visitors recorded a whopping 20 scoring chances and Den Bosch's defense looked extremely leaky.. Many of their players also looked lazy on the pitch.. Furthermore, Jong Utrecht created 10 shots on goal – the poor hosts managed just three. Before these games they lost to Helmond and Telstar away from home and to Venlo at home - without scoring in any of these games! In their most recent match the hosts were not at their best and lost to Breda in KNVB Beker 1-2 away from home after extra time. Breda are, of course, much better than Den Bosch so this defeat does not worry me ahead of this game.. Before this they played well as underdogs on the road against Jong Ajax but it was a 1-1 draw. Ajax had 70% ball possession but Eindhoven FC defended well and Ajax only recorded one shot on target. Eindhoven's number was six and they also recorded 17 scoring attempts. The hosts have beaten Den Bosch four times in row – most recently 3-1 away from home last August and have a big edge in all areas of the game. They are currently in 5th place with 33 points and can improve further!
