Karim Benzema scored both goals in this clash - late into the second half as Real often do.. 

During the World Cup break Valladolid lost three games, took one draw and grabbed one win. Right before the World Cup break they were humiliated by Athletic Bilbao on the road – 3-0. Especially offensively lame Valladolid did not manage any shots on goal! Moreover, the Atletic Bilbao created 2.85 in xG – Valladolid's number was modest - 0.48. Mallorca, on the other hand, beat Pontevedra in their most recent match. 0-2 was the final score after extra time in this Copa Del Rey battle. Before this they lost to Getafe 0-2 away from home and were unarguably not at their best. The hosts deserved the win after recording 1.10 in XG – Mallorca's number was 0.60. The final score flatters Getafe who played above their normal level though. Before this Mallorca were strong in LaLiga winning three of the four games. They beat two strong teams Atletico Madrid (1-0) at home and Villarreal 2-0 away from home. Fine achievements! Mallorca's M.Valjent (knee injury) is questionable here. The visitors have a worse situation in terms of absentees as S. Leon is suspended due to his red card against Real Madrid. Anuar and Escudero are injured and Sanchez is suspended because of too many yellow cards.
