In the knock-out stages they beat Australia by 2:1 and the Netherlands in Penalties after the game ending in a 2:2. To be fair, Argentina only got tested for the 1st time in this tournament against the Netherlands and even they beat them in penalties I just don't think that this Argentina team is that good at all because all tournament long they have showed that they are heavily depending on Messi genius and Enzo who is also been solid since he got the starting line-up but besides them they haven't been that impressive has an collective, it helps that their goalkeeper is making nice saves and Otamendi has been rock solid but I don't think Argentina has been that impressive at all and they haven't been really tested yet and Croatia is a good team who will give them a hard time in my opinion. For this game Argentina can't count on Acuna and Montiel.

Croatia hasn't lost yet in the World Cup, they ended their group stage in 2nd place with 2 draws against Morocco and Belgium and beat Canada. In the knock-out stages they beat Japan in penalties and Brazil in penalties. In compare to Argentina, Croatia has been tested in this tournament, against another semi-finalist Morocco and than against a really good Japan team and the biggest favourite of the tournament Brazil. I'm really surprised how Croatia was able to beat Brazil, Brazil was playing really good but Croatia was able to control them during the first 90th minutes. In extra-time things got a bit tougher and when Neymar in an magicial play scored the 1:0 and taught it was over because Croatia would need a miracle to somehow score and they somehow managed to score the 1:1 before the end of the 2nd half in extra-time and than in penalties everything was possible and they beat Brazil and are once again in a World Cup semi-final.

Do I believe that Argentina is the favourite to advance to the final, we for sure can say that but I don't think it's like this, I think Croatia has a really good chance to eliminate them for sure for many reasons. Argentina is surviving on the genius of Messi, of course that's a huge deal and shows how great Messi really is but on Croatia side we have a whole collective team who is playing really well together, their goalkeeper Livakovic is defending really amazing in this World Cup, Lovre and Gvardiol rarely are getting beat on defense, Brozovic, Modric and Kovacic have been freaking amazing on mid-field and closing everything and controlling the pace of the game and their only weakness is their attack, even they have Perisic, Pasalic and Kramaric they haven't been really effective but still, they put always big pressure on their opponents defenders what makes they to recover the ball fast and also, Croatia knows how to beat Argentina, they beat them 3:0 in the last World Cup even in that time, Croatia was a better team in my opinion than today we can also say that Argentina was a better team too than today. So, I believe Croatia can compete with this Argentina team and I wouldn't be surprised to see them eliminate them here but at least in the 90th minutes of the game I believe Croatia can hang with Argentina if the games goes to extra-time I think the edge goes to Argentina but overall, I don't see Croatia this big of a underdog and I see value on them not to lose this game in the 90th minutes. So take Croatia or draw here.
