Belgium started their opener with a win over Canada by 1:0 but don't get it twisted, they where lucky to win that game because Canada was the better team they just weren't effective with their chances and even they won that game we saw the first signs that this Belgium team isn't in good shape and that was showed in the 2nd game where they lost to Morocco by 2:0 and Morocco was the better team and gave Belgium many problems, especially their old defensive line is having a hard time in this World Cup. Belgium needs to win here, a draw is only enough in case Canada beats Morocco by 3 goals but that's super unlikely so Belgium must go find the win here so they will need to play more attacking football what will benefit the strenght of Croatia's game.

Croatia and Belgium are having here the last years of their golden generation but I see a big difference here, Croatia is still a good team and are very united and Belgium looks lost and are having big internal problems, players that don't like each other and to be fair, in Belgium side I only like Kevin De Bruyne, the rest of the squad isn't on his level anymore and on Croatia side their experient players like Kovacic, Modric, Perisic, Kramaric and Brozovic are still playing on a good level and that's why I don't see Croatia here has the underdog but has the slide favourites to win the game, for me they are the better team and the team who is in better shape and also the enviroment in their team is way more healthier than Belgium team who seems to be completly lost without no one trusting each other anymore. I see Croatia winning here by 2:1 or maybe the game ends in a 1:1 or 2:2 draw but overall I don't see Croatia losing here.

Costa Rica vs Germany

Costa Rica is clearly the weak link in this group and we saw that in the first game where they lost 0:7 against Spain and in the 2nd game we had one of the biggest surprise in my opinion, they beat Japan by 1:0 out of nowhere, well, I blame Japan Coach for that loss because I don't get how he has a chance to qualify and make big rotation on key players against Costa Rica because if he comes with the starting line-up he had against Germany he should had no issues to beat Costa Rica in my opinion. Even Costa Rica beat Japan they weren't the better team, they had one shot on goal and scored and it was a big mistake of Japan's goalkeeper because he should never suffered that goal in my opinion but that win has gave Costa Rica some hope but because of the goal average a draw is only enough if Japan losses to Spain, if Japan don't lose against Spain, Costa Rica will need to win this game what in my opinion is super unlikely, but at least they can dream about it after that 1:0 win over Japan.

Germany almost got eliminated but they managed to get the 1:1 draw against Spain late in the game what puts Germany still in good position to advance to the next stage after losing their 1st game against Japan by 1:2. Germany in the first game where super unlucky, they should have beat Japan but they missed tons of chances, especially in the first half they could have easily been up by 2 or 3:0 but after losing that game they where in big danger to get eliminated against Spain and they where losing 0:1 before Fullkrug scored the very important 1:1 and gave them life once again but to be fair, Spain controlled the 1st half but Germany played really well in the 2nd half.

So, right now the mathematics are, if Spain vs Japan ends in a draw or Spain win, Germany needs to beat Costa Rica by 2 goals and it's enough but if Japan beats Spain, Germany will need to win this game by 6 or 7 goals, it depends how Japan beats Spain, so, Germany can't not relax here, they will need to beat Costa Rica by a good margin, I know that most likely a 2 goal win over Costa Rica is enough because I think Spain doesn't lose against Japan but Germany can't think like that, they need to put the pressure and score a lot of goals just in case and they have the team to do it, Musiala is getting in really good shape now and Sane is recovered, he made the difference in the Spain game when he came in to the game and this Costa Rica team is really poor, I expect Germany to win this game by 3 or more goals because it's also important for them to play a great game to go with high confidence to the knock-out stages.
