Japan made a great debut with a surprising win against one of the favorites Germany 1-2. Qualification is very possible now in case of a win combined with a gift from Spain-Germany.

Japan have a really good group of players. Mixed experience of players and some very talented ones. For example Ritsu Doan and Takuma Asano who scored against Germany are not even considered starters in this team. This speaks all about the organization and mentality this team have.

Coach Moriyasu will make only a few changes in this game since he expect a more offensive approach. The goal scorer Asano should start this time from 1st minute instead of Maeda, who disappointed. Some problems in defense, where Sakai was injured and Tomiyasu could replace him.

Costa Rica in other hand, absolutely trashed from Spain in the opening game. Statistics were a disaster especially in offensive side where they didn't made a single shot. Seems that this National team is remained with the miracle of WC2014 since many members of that time are still called but with some more years on the back.

Players like Ruiz, Navas, Oviedo or Campbell already gave their best.

For this game coach Luis Suarez will probably make some changes in defense but not in attack where we should see the duo Contreras-Campbell.

I think Japan is a more organized team with good defensive strategy but also in attack they have talented players. Win against Germany gave a lot of enthusiasm in the team. Anyway I think we should a more closed game from both sides. Maybe Japan winning by 1 goal margin.
