In my opinion Cardiff City have really good chances to make win in today's match up.

Cardiff at the moment have hot streak against Huddersfield. They won last 3 matches in a row against them - last two in a row with scoreline 3:0, including February's match at this stadium. Cardiff have huge mental advantage.

Cardiff coming for today's match with almost best possible line up, only key left defender Bennett is unavailable. On the other hand Huddersfield still have serious squad problems. Their captain and key central midfielder Hogg is unavailable, same key offensive midfielder Pritchard, key left defender Toffolo, key winger Korom and key central midfielder Eiting. Once again that should have very bad impact on their performance.

Huddersfield is in very poor form at the moment - they won only one of last 12 matches. They have big problems with creativity - they scored only 1 goals in last 3 matches and according to the expected goals scored model they should score 1.89. On the other hand defensive formation is extremely unstable - they conceded at least one goal in last 15 matches in a row.. In these matches 9 times they conceded more than one goal. I see huge troubles for them against Cardiff firepower. In last round they get one point at home against poor Birmingham (1:1), but that wasn't deserved result at all: expected goals scored for Huddersfield 0.47, for Birmingham 1.85.

Manager McCarthy came to Cardiff in January and since then team looks amazing - they are unbeaten in 10 matches in a row with him on the bench. They won 7 of last 8 matches, in 7 of these matches they scored more than one goal. They failed to win only on away against top10 Middlesbrough. Not only offensive formation looks great, defense as well - they kept clean sheet in 3 of last 5 matches. In last round they simply trashed Derby 4:0 at home and for sure they wants to go with momentum today. Yesterday club announced new 2 years deal for McCarthy so for sure atmosphere in team is great, as well this is huge game for him. It's a game #1000 in his managerial career. Cardiff is only 2 points behind play off zone and if they wants to play in Premier League they have to win such matches against lower rank opposition. Cardiff at the moment looks like Premier League material, Huddersfield more like League One team. Big difference.

I don't see any other result than Cardiff win. They are able to score more than one goal here, but it's hard to see many goals for hosts here in current shape.
