At Loftus Road, we are expecting a duel between the currently first-placed QPR and 17th ranked Wigan. The English championship is widely known for having teams of equal quality and is one of those leagues that are very difficult to predict. They will be hugely motivated to go after the three points this weekend, against the struggling Wigan. Such results and the game in the last few rounds certainly give them the right to think about new three points.

Most of the recent games of Wigan ended in losses, and it is no wonder that they are placed in the bottom-most tier of the table. And even though they started their campaign on the road on a good note, they are currently on a losing streak. Defense is an area where they really lacked during this stretch, and it should be mentioned that only a handful of teams let in more goals than them in the entire competition. That something is not right in Wigan at the moment is best shown by the last game in the league. Despite taking the lead from the 34th minute, they managed to lose 4-1 at home to Middlesbrough, who are four places behind them in the table. Given the hosts recent form and the fact that they haven't lost any of their last eight meetings against Wigan on this ground, I have to give them a slight advantage in this match. And since the matches between these two teams are usually very close, we can expect a tight game where the hosts could end up winning with the smallest goal difference.
