They also took a point from the third-best team in the Premier League, Tottenham, at home through a goalless draw as clear underdogs on the betting market. In their most recent match, they lost to Tottenham in London though, but it was a surprisingly balanced affair especially considering Tuta’s red card in the 60th minute. The visitors kept fighting and scored the 3-2 goal late into the match. Tottenham only recorded 52% ball possession and one more goal attempt (12-11) as well as one more attack and dangerous attacks. They currently occupy the 8th place in the standings with respectable 14 points and a goal difference of 16:16. They have had some defensive problems but can improve as the season progresses and injuries hinder the team less than at the moment..

Leverkusen are, indeed, truly having a very disappointing season as a whole and are currently in 15th place with just eight points and a goal difference of 13:16. Their offense has been a lot weaker than last season. It simply lacks pace, creativity and structure. Leverkusen do have potential for improvement though, but I think it will take time. The bookies, once again, overvalue them here! They did beat the somewhat disappointing Atletico Madrid in Champions League at home 2-0 but did not really excite me on the pitch. On Wednesday Porto humiliated them winning 3-0 in Germany and Leverkusen really did not look like a team who deserves to play in this competition.. The only recent win they have taken came against Schalke, a pretty lowly team, a week ago at home 4-0. As even the draw would be enough for my fans and me the chance of winning for the 7th time in a row is 68%!
