Arsenal is not the same team as before with that top players (Henry, Robert Pires, Bergkamp,...), but the same can be said of Benfica. On the 1st hand against Benfica they drew 1-1 but they dominated the whole game and Benfica just scored in a lucky penalty and it was on "Benfica's home", I know it was in Rome but it counted as Benfica's home. So, this game Benfica will need to change the strategy because with 0-0 Arsenal goes ahead to the top16, so Benfica cannot play like they played, just expectant to see what happens. Arsenal played last weekend against Man City and rotated some important players to destroy Benfica, like David Luiz, Ceballos, Smith Rowe, Gabriel, Lacazette. They knew that even with the strongest line-up would be very very hard to beat this strong Manchester City so Arteta opted to make some changes and to focus 100% on Benfica.

Their only absence is Thomas, very important player but the midfield with Ceballos - Xhaka and Odegaard is pretty damn good.

Benfica in the worst moment of the club that I remember, they invested like 126M in players + coach Jorge Jesus, but they fail to play well, they cannot create goal chances and the midfield loses a lot of balls and concedes a lot of easy counters to the opponents. Last game, they drew against Farense (0-0) and VAR cancelled a goal to Farense, the game was really open and Farense was not happy with the draw and even with that "party game" Benfica failed to score a single goal. Today on the newspapers says that the President wants Jorge Jesus to leave the club but dont want to sack him to avoid paying a millionaire indemnity and Jorge Jesus is refusing to leave Benfica because he thinks that the problem is not because of himself and he believes that he is part of the solution. The players are in this moment against him, we can see of Darwin left the pitch against Farense. They know that if Benfica gets eliminated now by Arsenal is more likely that JJ leaves Benfica by his feet.

Very very confident for this game, Arsenal showed in the 1st game that they are so much better than Benfica.
