The English Premier League is back and in the last matchday before the international break, Tottenham is going to host Leicester City. After six games Tottenham sits at the third position with 14 points while for Leicester it has been a disaster so far because the team is in the last position with only 1 point. The only point came against Brentford at the start of the season.

Tottenham averages exactly two goals per game while for Leicester it is 1.33. Although Leicester is the worst team in the Premier League so far, 8 scored goals put the team in the middle and it is the defense that has caused so awful start to the season, with only Bournemouth allowing more goals than Leicester (18 and 16 respectively). This is the worst start to a league season in any division since the beginning of the Premier League era in Leicester's history. Leicester is the 5th worst team per xG against scored rating (10.76) but Tottenham is 3rd best (5.62). Interesting fact - more than half (9) of Leicester’s 16 goals conceded this season have been recorded after the 60th minute.

This week Tottenham lost to Sporting in the Champions League game. The most painful thing is that Tottenham allowed both goals in the added time and the team was very close to a draw. Although the loss is never good, there could be a silver lining as the team would have played a game after last week's break while Leicester's last game was played on 4th September. Right now, teams are at different levels. Tottenham should be very angry about the loss versus Sporting and there is no better team to play against right now than Leicester. Tottenham has won in the last three matchups and this streak is going to continue!
