In my opinion Southampton have really good chances to make at least one point in today's match up.

Southampton don't have any new absences, so their line up should look exactly the same like in previous round. Leeds is still without their captain and key central midfielder Kalvin Phillips - this is huge blow for the team. With him on the pitch they won 9 of 10 matches in current season.

I don't see Leeds as a better team and at the moment they are not in good form. They lost 3 of last 4 matches and they won only against poor Crystal Palace at home. Leeds defensive formation continues to be very easy to break. In current season only WBA conceded more goals than hosts of today's game. Leeds as well don't have idea how to defend set pieces, they conceded the biggest number of goals in whole league from corner/free kicks. There is problem with stability and concentration - they conceded 60% of their goals in first halves.

On the other hand Southampton players are fast starters - they scored 65% of their goals in first parts of the match. Before last round their lost 6 matches in a row, but against Chelsea they stopped that horrible streak (1:1). For sure they get some confidence from that result. I expect even better performance today. Southampton didn't won in last 7 matches in a row, but they never had longer streak in Premier League without a win. I see good chances for them.

Leeds are newcomers in league. Southampton won 9 of last 10 matches against new promoted sides. I don't agree with these odds. I see this match more like 50/50.
