Queretaro is enjoying a good start to the season as they managed to win all three of their home matches so far. Facing the always troublesome Puebla, we can expect hosts to drop first points at home this campaign. Queretaro is coming from a 2-1 loss against Club America, with the most recent game played here ending in a 3-1 victory. On the flip side, the guests wish to keep the momentum after a dominant 4-0 triumph against Juarez. Injuries will not be a concern for either side, with the only absentee being Queretaro's Jose Doldan.

The last time these clubs faced each other finished in an exciting 3-3 draw. Recent success in head-to-head matches is also equal between these two. The last seven times Queretaro hosted Puebla saw two victories for both sides and three undecided matches. The hosts have been solid offensively so far, scoring nine goals in six matches. However, Hector Altamirano's men have trouble defending, conceding ten times since the campaign started. Their attack will be led by the experienced Angel Sepulveda, who has scored in three of Queretaro's previous four duels. Still, I doubt if this team can break Puebla's flawless defense.

Puebla sits in ninth place, being only a point behind the upcoming opponent. While playing on the road, Larcamon's squad went through both a minimal victory against the second-placed Cruz Azul and a minimal defeat against the first-placed Club America. They did quite well against these two powerful sides, and I can see them delivering vs. Queretaro. Puebla is the league's second-best defense, conceding only three times. Santiago Ormeno will be leading the offense, with the in-form striker scoring a hat-trick on his last outing.
