Leganes made very poor performances so far, with 0/9 points including weak rivals (like Lugo where they lost 1:0) or strong ones similar to Eibar (like Alaves where they lost 1:2). Leganes is a team with experience in this league but in the past years they have been struggling a lot, and seeing their squad + transfer market, this year is expected to be the same.

Their problem this season has been in defense, they are making many mistakes and conceding goals easily. In attack, they aren’t able to score goals although they had chances (against Lugo made 21 shots but weren’t able to score).

The team has a mental problem and is blocked. Even the coach confirmed that he is trying to find players without mental pressure for this match, because there are many changes in the club (new owners, transfers, bad results…)

They made 7 transfers in the market (poor players), which means too many changes in the squad and time needed to adapt. Even the coach is making changes in the lineup every weekend, and he doesnt know what to do today: put a creative lineup, a physical one, change the system…

On the other hand, Eibar is the opposite. They are one of the strongest teams in the league. Past season were very unlucky to not be promoted (after being the whole season in the TOP2 - direct promotion), and this year they have the target of promotion in the top2 again. They have the same competitive block and coach, adding some interesting transfers to increase the level of the team (like Nolaskoain). For me Eibar has the best squad in the league.

They started the season unbeaten, with two victories against Ponferradina and Tenerife and one draw against Villarreal B (a team who outplayed and beat 1:2 Leganes in preseason). Eibar has a lot of resources to make changes during the game and adapt to different situations, which makes them a very difficult team to beat. Also has players in great form like Leschuk (a new transfer), with two goals in just 104 minutes played so far.

Leganés will have even more pressure playing at home. Fans are nervous and not supporting the team, and players know that. The team has a serious mental problem and I’m sure that their first victory will come playing away, because at home they are blocked. Furthermore, they have a much weaker squad in comparison with Eibar, who made great performances and should be favorites here today. Past season they already won Leganes 2:3 at home.
