Atalanta vs Napoli

Atalanta's season has been full of ups and downs this year but we are seen lately better performances from Atalanta and they are starting to play at the level from last season and even they are right now at 7th place they are only 3 points behind the Champions League places. Eleven days ago this Atalanta team beat easily Napoli in the Italian Cup by 3:1 and the result was very slim, Atalanta dominated that game and could have easily scored 5 or 6 goals in that game and I like their chances in this game too to win this one once again, they are playing better right now and also they need the win to get some confidence for the Real Madrid game for the Champions League in a couple of days. Atalanta right now is very healthy, only Hateboer will be missing the game.

Napoli had a tremendous season start but lately they have looked bad and even they beat at home Juventus by 1:0 they were super lucky to win that game, in the 2nd half Juventus missed so many chances and somehow Napoli managed to win the game which was a great surprise because of all their injury problems. However, after that win they had their 1st leg for the Europa League on the road against Granada and lost 0:2 which will make their life way harder for the 2nd leg. For today they will face a Atalanta team who has been playing better and who has beat them 3:1 11 days ago, not only Napoli got beat but like I said, they got dominated by Atalanta in that game and also in the 1st leg against them who ended 0:0, Atalanta was the clear better team on the field. For this game Napoli has major injuries problems, they will be without Hisay, Politano, Mertens, Manolas, Demme, Lozano, Petagna and Ospina.

I see Atalanta in much better shape right now than Napoli, even without all those injuries I would gave Atalanta the edge in this game because they are starting to play at the level from last season, the only concerns has been taking care of their goal chances that they created, for example, in the 3:1 win against Napoli in the CUP Atalanta created a lot of chances and should have scored way more goals, in their last win against Cagliari on the road they won 1:0 and missed also a lots of chances, that has been still an issue with this team but overall in this game I see Atalanta controlling and dominating the game and taking here the important 3 points, especially against this Napoli team who is banged-up with a ton of injuries at key players for this team. I like Atalanta chances here to beat Napoli, most likely by 2:1 or 3:1.
