In my opinion Sheriff have really good chances to make win in today's match up.

I see big difference between both teams in terms of quality, ambitions and potential. Even if You look on the official team values, Sheriff team is more expensive by 50% (Maribor squad value: 8mln€, Sheriff 12mln€).

We saw that big difference in first match - Sheriff had full control in that game. They allowed Maribor to make only 2 shots in that game. Match finished with draw 0:0, but that wasn't deserved result at all: 1.90 expected goals scored for Sheriff.

In previous round Maribor played against poor Belarusian team Shakhtyor Soligorsk and they not looked convincing at all. They even failed to win at home against them (0:0). Probably the biggest star of Maribor team - winger Brnic - not recorded goal or assist in two matches against Shakhtyor and in first match at home against Sheriff.

Sheriff have really high quality duo of central defender (Kiki/Radeljic). Everything clicking together at the back - Sheriff kept clean sheet twice in previous round against Zrinjski Mostar and for sure defensive formation coming here full of confidence. They also were able to keep clean sheet in away match against Maribor.

Maribor started new league season in the worst possible style, in first round they lost 0:3 at home against Radomlje. 3 days ago they won 3:2 at home against Gorica, but Maribor defensive formation once again looked very unstable.. Sheriff upfront have quick African players like Ouattara, Rasheed or Yansane. They have all required tools to make a lot of damage for Maribor defensive formation.

I see Sheriff as a stronger, more solid and more dangerous team. They should be able to prove their power on the pitch.
