The popular "Verdao" will try to defeat the mentioned Cuiaba tonight at its "Allianz Park" and thus take over the throne of Brasileira again. The visitors arrive in Sao Paulo after a surprising and rather routine victory over Botafogo 2-0. Tony Oliveira's team played the best match since the beginning of the season, although the "lone star" had two players on the field at one point, that does not diminish Cuiaba's excellent game. They are currently in a safe harbour with 19 points, just one more than America MG, which is in the relegation zone. In the previous meeting between tonight's rivals, Palmeiras won 3-1 as a guest. There is no doubt that Palmeiras are favourites in the match of the 17th round of Serie A, anything but victory will be considered a big surprise.
