OL’s head coach Rudi Garcia knows Dijon very well. After he obtained his Diplôme d'Entraineur Professionel de Football, he was contacted by Dijon and signed with them on 21 May 2002. He helped the club to climb to Ligue 2 in 2003–04. The Bourgogne club even appeared in the semi-final of the Coupe de France.

Last season Rudi Garcia's side played a very friendly 0-0 with Dijon. I think today they might still win but with the minimum goal-difference. Because even a small defeat could help Dijon. In Ligue 1, the rules for classification are in the following order: 1) Points; 2) Goal difference; 3) Goals scored; 4) Head-to-head goal difference; 5) Fairplay ranking.
