In my opinion Omiya have really good chances to make at least one point in today's match up.

In overall Omiya have solid record against Verdy as they didn't lost in 7 of 11 matches against them. In previous season Omiya went unbeaten at this stadium, match finished with draw 1:1

If You look on bigger picture - I don't see huge difference between both teams in terms of quality, ambitions and potential. Verdy in previous season finished at 12th position, Omiya 4 places below them. At the moment is 8 places difference between both teams in league table (12/20), but it's only 6 points. Verdy had better start of the season, but is hard to trust them now.

Omiya raised their form in last weeks in comparison to that awful start. They recorded 3 wins in last 7 matches - only two losses (one of them after big fight against best team of the season so far - Vegalta Sendai). In last round they recorded very important 1:0 win at home against Ryukyu - Omiya kept clean sheet and created gap above relegation zone. Morale in team for sure is great and they wants to go with momentum. Defensive formation earned some confidence which is very important.

On the other hand Verdy is completely out of form for a while - since middle of April they won only once in 10 matches (!). Defensive formation don't have any stability at the moment - they conceded 12 goals in last 4 matches. They have problems with zone play, they have problems with covering spaces, they have problems with defending set pieces - nothing works. Verdy conceded at least one goal in last 10 consecutive matches and I see continuation of this streak today.

Both teams without any new absences so their line ups should look exactly the same like in previous round.

I simply don't see Verdy as so big favorite with their out of form defensive formation. Value is on away side, no doubt about that.
