That defeat can go one of two ways: make them to be highly motivated and wake up, or be added as another bad moment and performance, to continue a bad run. And seeing their numbers this year, it looks like it will be the second.

They are just one above the bottom (Vancouver with 2 less games played), with 2 wins in 12 games played. The worst attack (10 goals), the team of the league with more defeats (7), and 2nd worst defense.

It’s a midweek game so the support won’t be huge. Probably won’t be sold too many tickets, so we can expect a low attendance. But the most important: several key players are out for SKC today.

Alan Pulido, Gadi Kinda, Nicolas Isimat-Mirin, Ozzie Cisneros - All injured, while Roger Espinoza and Robert Voloder are suspended. Others like Graham Zusi, Shelton or Russell (topscorer) are questionable.

This means that the team is forced to make at least 4 changes in the main lineup, if not more. The bench will be weak too, with 3 empty spaces and a player from SKC II (21 years old) - Vazquez.

On the other hand, Colorado is sitted in the playoffs zone, making a decent campaign with 4 wins, 3 draws and 4 defeats so far. They made two great signings recently: CB Gustavo Vallecilla and striker Gyasi Zardes. Don't have any important missings for today.

Both teams already played in March and Colorado won easily 2:0, with a similar lineup as today (just with striker Andre Shinyashiki instead of Zardes), while Sporting Kansas City had a full squad.

SKC is not showing anything so far. They look so bad and Colorado has a great chance to take some points from here. The large number of missings won't help also to see a reaction by SKC after the embarrassing defeat, added to their physical form after a very demanding calendar - yes, similar to Colorado, but with defeats (less motivation) and extra time vs Dallas (120 minutes) 7 days ago.

The double chance looks like the correct bet for me here.
