I have written many times about Juve’s decline but as there are many new fans I will once again write a few sentences.. Indeed, they have been lucky and most importantly they have shown defensive vulnerability lately. Five ago Inter beat them 4-2 in Coppa Italia - after 90 minutes it was 2-2 though. Before this Genoa,(19th), humiliated Juve with a 2-1 and created a very high number - 3.42 in excepted goals. Juve generated 2.09. We must also remember that Juve have grabbed seven more points this season than they would have deserved in terms of expected points – one of the key statistics used by most professional bettors. Lazio have also been a little lucky though. If Juve do not improve from these past two performances Lazio will score several goals. Juve have kept a clean sheet just twice in their most recent ten matches so they do have a lot of work to do.. The visitors have stunning offensive firepower and have scored 72 goals but do not have the most solid defense though. Juve's legendary manager Max Allegri now has a handful of previously unavailable players at his disposal, as midfielder Manuel Locatelli is back in contention after missing the last five Serie A games, while Luca Pellegrini has overcome an ankle sprain and fellow full-back Mattia De Sciglio returns after a Coppa Italia suspension. The latter is expected to replace Danilo at right-back, but Weston McKennie will ptobably not recover from a long injury layoff in time to enter the picth today, however, he could be back in the fold before the end of the season. Lazio's Ciro Immobile has scored only four Serie A goals against Monday's hosts, but three of those have come in his last four matches at the Allianz Stadium. It is yet not confirmed if he can play today though.. Another offensive weapon will probably be back in the squad this week as veteran winger Pedro returns after being out for two months due to a nasty calf injury. Juve will probably rotate their squad here – offering young, promising guys to prove themselves!

As Juve have no pressure result-wise they can simply try to entertain home fans and I expect an entertaining match with many goals! This will not bee too easy though as the visitors, in their most recent match, they put up pretty convincing defensive performance against Sampdoria winning 2-0 at home. They allowed the Genovese visitors only 0.49 in expected goals and generated 1.87 themselves. They are in fine form losing just one their latest five matches. The 1-2 loss came three weeks ago against Milan who currently top the standings. This defeat does not worry me at all going into this match. Lazio have 62 points in the bank and Roma grabbed 60 points. The fight for the 5-6th position – and consequently a ticket to UEFA Europa League is intense indeed, as Fiorentina and Atalanta have 59 points! If points are tied at the end of the competition, head-to-head matches will be the tie-breaker.. We have a super interesting football week ahead!
